Drains in Burnham-on-Sea
Burnham-on-Sea is flat and low-lying, on the edge of the Somerset Levels. Drains here often have very little fall, so a small dip or sag in the pipe is enough to hold water and collect silt. That leads to slow drains, smells and repeat blockages. The soft ground in places can also let pipes move over the years. We’ll show you whether your drain is holding water, and where.
What you get
- Camera inspection of the drains you can get to from your inspection chambers
- Blockages, cracks, roots, displaced joints and collapses found and explained
- Faults located from above and marked on the ground

We’re inspection only: no repairs, no jetting and no formal survey reports. Why that matters and what we check.

Questions
Why do the drains in my Burnham-on-Sea home keep running slowly?
On flat ground, drains have very little fall. A small sunken section can hold water and collect silt, which slows everything down. A camera inspection shows if there’s a dip and exactly where it is.
Do you do drain surveys in Burnham-on-Sea?
No. We do drain inspections: we find faults, show them to you on screen and mark where they are. If a lender, insurer or the water company has asked you for a formal coded survey report, you’ll need a survey company. More on the difference.
Do you repair drains in Burnham-on-Sea?
No, we only inspect. That way we’ve nothing to sell you, and you can take what we found to any repair contractor.
